Vintage Horse Drawn Equipment Restoration
As part of the Big Horse Works experience we do custom restoration on old horse drawn agriculture equipment and show it at the Draft Horse Classic in Grass Valley each year.
The work involved includes researching the piece and then bringing it back to a like new state so that it is fully functioning. It is a labor of love and fascinating to see how the old technology worked and can still work 100 years later.

Annette Nylander
When not teaching Information Technology classes at Sierra I run a draft horse wagon/carriage business. That means I spend a lot of time restoring/repairing old farm equipment and wagons also. I find the blend of high tech and low tech adds a good balance to my life and enjoy sharing the love of all things "horse" with others.

What inspired you to make this project?
These pieces are restored to use at Draft Horse Classic and thought it would be nice to share the process and outcomes with others.
